Mahsa Naghibzadeh
Mahsa was born and raised in Iran and was introduced to Persian literature and art at a very early age. Her family had a love of the arts, so she was always immersed in various forms of art, whether it was painting, calligraphy, music, poems, or literature. It was during this time that her passion for art began, and she started drawing and sketching whatever she saw around her, including landscapes, and people.
Mahsa has had the opportunity to learn from and study under famous Iranian artists such as Kasra Kiayi and Rahim Navasi where her main focus was oil painting. Since that time she has expanded her artistic repertoire to include acrylic paint, alcohol ink, and epoxy resin art, which has allowed her to express herself with a variety of different mediums. The use of Persian poems and calligraphy in her art allows her to introduce her culture to the world.
Her work has been exhibited at various group and private exhibitions in Iran and Dubai. More recently, after moving to Toronto in 2016, she participated in, and was selected as the winner of a mural painting project for the City of Toronto.
